Grantee Stories

The Cedar Tree Foundation feels fortunate to partner with organizations that are doing phenomenal work across a wide range of environmental issues. Please click below to watch grantees from both our Children’s Environmental Health and Regenerative Grazing Initiatives describe their work in their own words. Defend Our Health

Defend Our Health works to create a world where all people are thriving, with equal access to safe food and drinking water, healthy homes, and products that are toxic-free and climate-friendly. They accomplish this through grassroots organizing, strategic issue campaigns, and working on the state and national level to influence policy in Maine and beyond.

Land Stewardship Project

The Land Stewardship Project (LSP) was founded in 1982 to foster an ethic of stewardship for farmland, to promote sustainable agriculture, and to develop sustainable communities.

LSP is dedicated to creating transformational change in food and farming systems. The organization's work has a broad and deep impact, from new farmer training and local organizing, to federal policy and community based food systems development.
